Bike Class, Saturday January 9th. Rim Brakes.

We will be working with all types of cable actuated rim brake systems.  We will identify, describe, adjust, and replace brake pads on all types of rim brakes that are currently used on bicycles.  We will begin at 9:00a.m. and will end around 10:00a.m.. Arrive a little early and come through the double side door located in the parking lot on the North East side of the building.  See you there.

Front & Rear Derailleur Class, Spin Class

This Saturday the 8th its all about derailleurs, identification, inspection, removal, installation, and then adjustments.  Regardless of what style of riding you do the theory of adjusting a derailleurs will be the same and what a life saver on long rides.  We will work on both front and rear derailleurs.  Remember to arrive a little early, class starts at 9:00a.m. and will go to around 10:00a.m. come through the double doors on the North East side of the building as the front door will be locked.

Spin Class will be at its regular time of 10:00a.m. and if we have enough for a second class it will be at 11:30a.m..  If you plan on attending make sure to call ahead so we can reserve you a spot.  For either class plan on coming a few early to get set up and warmed up.

Group Road May 15th, Repair Wait Time

It looks great outside and we are looking forward to a wonderful group road ride this evening.  Plan on meeting up at 6:00p.m. in our parking lot and we will leave no later that 6:30p.m..

On another note the repair timeline on the website has not been changed because we have been maintaining about a five day wait time on repairs.  If it shortens or gets longer I will change the website, so if you need repairs know that timeline is accurate.  See everyone soon, thanks.

Saturday The 26th, Spin Classes ON, Bike Class A Go!!

Saturday the 26th we will be having both the spin class and the maintenance class.  The first spin session will begin at 10:00a.m. and will end around 11:00a.m.  There will be a second class starting at 11:30a.m. and will end around 12:30p.m..

Bike class tomorrow will be concerning cable actuated rim brakes.  We will go over the proper adjustment, correct types of pads, when to change pads and proper cable tension.  Class will begin at 9:00a.m. and will for through 10:00a.m.

Tune Up Special Ends February 28th

We currently are running our off season rate of $35.00 dollars on tune ups and have been discounting other labor related activities a little as well.  The discounted rates will be in place until February 28th at which point we will be going back to our regular season rates listed on the website.  Just wanted to drop a quick note so everyone can get their bikes in before we get slammed.

Saturday January 12th, Spin Class and Bike Maintenance Classes

We've been back a couple days and after all the cleaning we're pretty confident it smells less like dust and moth balls in this place.  Thanks for letting us take a little time to clean and take a little break.

This Saturday the 12th of January we have a couple of thing going on.  Our spin classes are starting with a base fitness level test.  The first class with be from 10:00a.m.-11:00a.m.. The only thing that is a complication is that the first is full for this Saturday.  In light of this fact it has been decided that we are offering another class at 11:30a.m.-12:30p.m., we have a total of eight spots per class and there are still 7 openings as of this moment.  If you are interested call or send and e-mail as quick as you can because we expect this class will fill as well.  Cost per class is $5.00.

We also have bike maintenance this Saturday.  This class is a continuation of derailleur adjustment focusing on the front derailleur.  After I have finished the discussion on front derailleurs we will review rear derailleur adjustment which we went over before the holidays.  So if you missed last time and still want to learn about rear derailleur adjustment you have a second chance.  Bike maintenance class begins at 9:00a.m. and ends at 10:00a.m. come through the side door located on the north east side of the building.  Just a side note too I have had to adjust the calendar a little so the class schedule has changed.

Holiday Sale, Bicycle Maintenance Start Saturday

Our annual holiday sale begins this Saturday December 1st and will run through the 24th at 3:00p.m., all the details for the sale are available on our web site, skylinecyclery.com, by clicking on the calendar and then clicking on the event.  Our bicycle maintenance class series also starts this Saturday and will be held from 9:00a.m.-10:00a.m.  This class will cover basic maintenance,  all the details for this class are also on the calendar.  Thanks as always and look forward to seeing everyone.
