Bike Class Start Saturday, Framed Fat Bikes, Fat Bike Day Saturday!!

There's a lot going on this weekend.  Starting this Saturday December 6th at 9:00a.m. we will begin our annual bicycle maintenance series from 9:00.m.-10:00a.m..  As usual come through the double doors on the North/East side of the building located towards the back of the parking lot.  This weeks subject is basic maintenance, for a complete description check out the calendar feature at skylinecyclery.com

We have Framed fat bikes that will be built and on the floor by Saturday.  In route are two Minnesota 2.0 in an 18" size, and a Minnesota 3.0 in an 18" as well,  we are excited to have stock back on the floor. The 2.0 models go for $900, and the 3.0 goes for $1100.

The Global Fat Bike Day Utah is this Saturday as well and will begin at 10:00a.m. in the Rainbow Gardens parking lot.  We will have a couple of Mukluk 3.0 models up there for a rent.  We have a medium and a large, the large has a Rockshox Bluto on the front.

Bike and Spin Class Saturday the 18th, Even More Fat Bike Rentals!!

Next Saturday the 18th we will continue with both our bike maintenance class and spin class.

Bike maintenance class will begin at 9:00a.m. and  will  discuss both mechanically actuated disk brakes and hydraulic disc brakes.  We will identify, adjust, discuss brake caliper adapters, address different size rotors, and determine what types of fluid are used by different brake manufacturers.  Class will go from 9:00a.m.-10:00a.m..  The double doors on the North East side of the building, directly out of the parking lot as the front door will be locked.

Spin class will be held at 10:00a.m. for the first session and 11:30a.m..  We were under the impression that 10:00a.m. last week was full but we had a few folks that couldn't make it so there are still spots open.  Make sure to call ahead and reserve a spot for either class.

Now to Fat bike rentals.  We have had such a demand for rentals in this category that we have added an additional two bikes to our rental bike fleet to meet the needs of our customers.  We have added a medium Kona Wo to the fleet as well as another large Salsa mukluk.  This brings our total number of bikes to 4 rentals.  Make sure to call ahead and reserve a bike if you want it for a particular date because they are going out a ton.  Cost is $35.00 per day.  Glad to see people are enjoying these bikes.

Fat Bike Rentals! Fat Bike Festival January 24TH, 25th and 26th.

We have added a medium Surly Pugsley to our fat bike rental fleet, the other bike we rent is a Salsa Mukluk 3 in a large.  Rental of either bike is $35 per day making us the cheapest fat bike rental in town.  If you plan on renting either of the bikes call ahead and reserve a spot because they have been going for rent a ton.

A heads up that on the 24th through the 26th Ogden and QBP are hosting the Global Fat Bike Summit.  Sounds like on the 24th there will be seminars starting at 10:00a.m. at the Summit Hotel, costs $25 per person and goes until 4:00p.m.

The 25th there is a festival that will take place at the Mt. Ogden Golf Course from 10:00a.m. until 4:00p.m. and it is free.

Sunday the 26th there is an Industry Fun Ride planned at Snowbasin, but you have to bring your own bike.

Thus far these bikes have changed winter into a riding season. We are looking forward to the Summit, see you there or here at Skyline if you need a rental or gear.
