Our annual spring sale begins tomorrow which is why this is posted so late. We just unloaded about 15 big boxes of parts and accessories, so if your looking for a good deal check us out in the next three days. We will also be adding stock through tomorrow evening so don't think you'll miss out if you don't come Thursday. We built about 10 bikes tonight and have a full floor. Can't wait to see everyone, thanks for being great customers.
We just had an Anthem X2 29 stolen from the store. The guy that took the bike is around 6'3" and has dark hair though it is growing turning gray very quickly, he has a small bald/thinning spot of hair towards the back of his head. He was wearing a gray Marrmont jacket, black sweat pants and had a silver wave pattern ring on his right ring finger. He claims to be out of California and hear on a new job. He asks about 29ers and expensive down hill bikes. Past a physical description what a freaking dirt bag!!!
Our weekly road rides on Wednesday will begin the 18th of April. We meet at 6:00p.m. in the parking lot and aim to leave around 6:30p.m.. When attending if possible wait in the parking lot because waiting inside makes it difficult for us to help customers as well as get shut down.
Also don't forget that our annual spring sale is just around the corner. It will be held the 12th, 13th, and 14th of April. For details check the calendar description or call the store.
Repairs are a bit backed up right now though we expect to get caught up. At this point we are about five business days out for pick-up but I will keep you posted as this changes.
Our annual sale is now only about two weeks out. We will begin to bring in some of the higher end bicycles in the next week to have product to show and preview before the sale. This is a great opportunity to get a great deal on a new bike or just to accessorize for the season.
On another note the Utah Bike Summit is coming to Ogden and will be held at the Union Station on the 4th of May. Admission will be $35 dollars a person or $15 if you are a student. If you are interested in what is happening with cycling in Utah this is a great opportunity to mingle with like minded individuals, and gather a wealth of information about the sport. I will post up more info as it is passed along.
The 12th,13th,and 14th of April Skyline Cycle will hold their annual spring sale. All accessories in stock will be 25% off of MSRP, all current model bikes in stock will be 15% off MSRP, and all last year model bikes in stock will be at least 20% off of MSRP. We really look forward to seeing everyone, if you have questions on models or stock feel free to call 801-394-7700 or send an e-mail to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. The northern side of the shoreline is dry and in good shape as long as you are not starting at either the northern nature center or the jump off trail head. As all of you getting out more post up the conditions on the blog or the face book account that way we can all ride as early as possible but not do damage to any of the trails that are still to wet. We here at Skyline are excited as hell that it looks like we are going to have a great spring. We are looking forward to seeing everyone again.
Repair time line is a two day turn around for regular repairs that do not need parts. I will be posting repair time lines throughout the season on the blog and the face book accounts if you ever need to see.

Just a note on our repair situation. We are still on special but starting to see more and more bikes through the door because that special ends the 29th. At this moment we have a three day wait but I expect that increases rapidly as the season gets started. As always thanks, and we are looking forward to a great riding year here at Skyline.
The specials on tune-ups at $35.00 and overhauls at $75.00 will end February 29th, tunes will then cost $45.00 and overhauls will return to $115.00. At this time we are no more than a couple of days out on labor. So if you or anyone you know needs repair work done now is the time because we will get backed up starting around the first of April or so give or take a week just depending on what mother nature decides to do.

Maintenance class will once again be at 9:00a.m. and this time we will be talking about rebuilding hubs, bottom brackets, headsets which in general will give a good idea of how to approach bearing systems in general.
